Blagaj Tekke is a protected heritage site, a historic village near Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is famously well-known for its astonishing beauty and crystal-clear spring water that feeds the Buna River. The Building in this painting is the dervish house built around 1520 and used as a venue for dervish Zikr praise-chanting.
Nowadays, this site has become a famous tourist destination, and many restaurants are built along the riverbed, which offer a view of this stunning and unique site.
I visited Blagaj Tekke in a group, and the site was as busy as can be that day, but it wasn't hectic or overwhelming. This place shines with a wonderful, tranquil magnificence that inspired me to create this piece of art in acrylic medium.
